He is an Assistant Professor in Biotechnology Program, Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. He worked as a Lecturer for more than five years (August 2015- June 2021) in the Department of Microbiology, Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya, and two years (July 2013- June 2015) as an Assistant Professor in Department of Microbiology, Jhunjhunwala PG college with teaching and research responsibilities. In the year 2005, he completed Postgraduation (M.Sc.-Microbiology) from Dr. R.M.L. Avadh University, Ayodhya, U.P., India after his B.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology from DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. After passing M.Sc. and qualifying National Eligibility Test, he completed the Ph.D. program in Microbiology in 2013 at the Department of Microbiology, Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya, U.P., India. He was awarded the Research Fellowships in Sciences for Meritorious Students by University Grants Commission, India. His doctoral work in the area of “Simultaneous bioremediation of Cr(VI) and pentachlorophenol from tannery effluent” was a pioneering work in India.  Moreover, he has attended several national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. He has guided 4 postgraduate students on their dissertation work.  His current research work focused on microbial biotechnology, valorization of food wastes into value added products, green synthesis of nanoparticles and their antimicrobial activities, environmental pollution abatements, antimicrobial activities of plant based novel food materials. His research findings have been published in different peer-reviewed journals, and he is the recipient of many awards, including Best Poster Award, Young Scientist Award, Best Oral Presentation Award, and Excellence in Research Award for contribution in the field of Microbiology. He is also an Editorial Board Member of many International Journals. His thrust research area includes Food Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Nanobiotechnology, Bioprospection of Novel Biomolecules, Bioremediation of Dyes. He has published more than 60 papers in peer reviewed journals and edited five books.
